Beavers are the youngest members of the Scout Association, and are aged between 6 and 8 years old. Beavers, like all the Scout Association sections, are co-educational, so can be boys or girls.

At Beavers the young people begin to learn about scouting, the things they do will be challenging for them but more importantly fun. Some will be outdoors, others will be at the group HQ. Beavers have joined in at district camps and during the summer they may have the chance to go to a fun day at Gilwell, the home of scouting. When groups organise family camps Beavers can be included, so they too get a taste of camping. Other groups may chose to take Beavers for a night away in accommodation at a Scout Activity centre

All Beavers have the chance to work towards a selection of badges both for activities and challenge badges which cover more than just one activity.

One thing is for sure, they will have FUN, make new FRIENDS and make a RACKET, which is what it should all be about
