Please notify all parents, leaders, helpers and supporters that the opening times of the Scout Resource Centre is 6.00 – 8.30 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. On Open House nights (first Monday in the month) we extend to 9.00pm.

We are aware that we have competition with John Lewis and the Scout Association’s on line facility - both of these methods of purchase are at a cost to your Scout Group. Any annual excess income over expenditure is given to the qualifying Scout Groups in the Mid Herts District.
In the case of John Lewis, any profit made is lost to Scouting altogether. We ask that you encourage all parents to use the Resource Centre instead of John Lewis.

In the case of the Scout Association’s on line facility it is costing the customer the packaging and posting and your Group loses. For example if a Beaver sweatshirt is purchased on line the customer will pay £13.95 instead of £11.00 from the Resource Centre; in addition the Group will lose approximately £2.00.

For urgent non stock items, we suggest that you either email >billjanet.turnbull@btopenworld.com< or phone (01707 264401) us with your requirements. Our normal time for ordering is near to the end of the calendar month – if this is unfavourable we can place an urgent order but this will incur the postage and packaging cost in the same way as you do on-line. With this method the Scout Group will still receive financial benefit.
